MiVote, the world’s leading democratic movement announces steady global growth in time to contest numerous national elections in 2019.
MELBOURNE: 2018 marks the year that MiVote has arrived as a genuine political alternative for millions of disenfranchised citizens throughout the world. After several years of development, the global NGO founded in 2016 in Australia made enormous strides in seeding direct digital democracy, advancing non-partisan/solutions oriented policy formation and removing vested-interest money from the political environment.
Having set ambitious goals for 2018, MiVote was able to solidify a strong start to the year, which saw it present on panels and workshops at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Focusing on global development in preparation for deployment in 2019, MiVote will shortly release its unique and proprietary community decision-making model using Horizon State technology on four continents.
MiVote’s notable 2018 growth milestones include:
- Signed Chapter Agreement: United States
- Signed Chapter Agreement: India
- Signed Chapter Agreement: Germany
- Signed Numerous high profile Independent Candidates (India) – a formal detailed announcement will be released shortly
- Scheduled Topic Poll release Dec 2018 (India)
- Scheduled Topic Poll release Feb 2019 (Australia)
- Scheduled Topic Poll release 1st Quarter 2019 (Germany)
- Commenced democracy reform discussions with 4 political parties & 2 Governments
- Candidates contracted to the MiVote model will contest in at least 3 elections in 2019
With the release of the Horizon State digital platform later this month, MiVote will now launch its planned voting and deployment agenda in India, Germany, Australia and the US and enable candidates to transparently crowdfund their political campaigns as they shun funding from corporations and vested-interest groups.
MiVote will continue discussions to establish new global Chapters and will significantly expand its direct reform activities with governments and political parties in 2019 and beyond.
Founder and Chief Steward of the Global MiVote movement Adam Jacoby commented, “MiVote has enjoyed a remarkable and challenging year, I suspect 2019 will be historic as candidates delivering genuine democracy will be elected to public office for the first time in history.” In relation to global expansion, Jacoby added, “we never imagined that the MiVote model would resonate so significantly outside of Australia and we are working very hard to meet our goal of having 20 MiVote chapters deployed and operational by the end of 2020.”
